Parsons & Charlesworth
Parsons & Charlesworth is a future-focused research-based studio founded by British designers Jessica Charlesworth (UK/Canada) and Tim Parsons (UK) based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Working at the intersection of art, design, and critical inquiry, they materialize speculative futures into objects, installations, and digital media that feel simultaneously strange and familiar. Their work has been showcased internationally at venues including the Venice Architecture Biennale, Chicago Architecture Biennial, Walker Art Center, Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Design Museum London, among others. Recent accolades include the 2024 Lumen Prize Futures Award, the 2021 Graham Foundation Grant, and residency programs at the Headlands Center for the Arts and in Krems, Austria. Charlesworth currently teaches at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Parsons is a Tenured Professor at Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design, University of Michigan.
