Mae Howard
Mae Howard is an artist, facilitator, leather freak, and organizer. They are a 2026 Queer Art Fellow, a 2026 Artist-in-Residence at Pioneer Works, a 2025-2026 A.I.R. Gallery Fellow, a member of the inaugural KINK OUT Artist-in-Residence Cohort, and a 2023-2024 Whitney Independent Study Program Fellow. Howard has given lectures and participated on panels at Dia Art Foundation, the Migros Museum, Max Planck Institute, KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Pratt University, Smith College, and Brown University alongside teaching coursework at the University of Pennsylvania, and Toolbox Collective. They received an MFA and Certificate in Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. Howard co-teaches Disabled Erotics with Fluent at The School of Making & Thinking.
