Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts
The ultimate behind-the-scenes Bemis experience! Participate in an artist-led, hands-on art activity for visitors of all ages, engage in a tour of the current exhibition, and go beyond the galleries to discover Bemis’s upper floors, where you can visit with artists-in-residence to see their studios and view their works in progress.
Admission is free; ticket reservations are encouraged.

Omaha artist Kristin Pluhacek leads a drop-in workshop with chalk drawing outside on the dock.
2 PM: Exhibition Highlights Tour
Join Bemis Center's Community Experience + Engagement Manager Abby Fogle-Erickson for a tour of the exhibition on view, From the Great Lakes to the Great Plains: The Visible Currents of Climate Change.
3 PM: Experimental Music Showcase @ LOW END: Thom Clarity
Bemis Center Community Tracks program alum
Thom Clarity brings a set spanning the serene minimalism of neoclassical, the slow-burning tones of drone, the immersive washes of ambient, and the driving rhythms of house, techno, and jungle.
4 PM: Experimental Music Showcase @ LOW END: giselle
Bemis Center Community Tracks program alum
Inspired by Nebraska’s empty spaces, giselle’s ambient music guides luminescent layers of heavenly vocal harmonies into expansive ambient soundscapes designed to channel the present moment.
