Christopher Paul Jordan makes time-capsules. Using painting and sculpture, he creates public portals for displaced folks to connect their stories across space and time. His practice deals with continuance, analog internets, the production of history, and the construction of satellites. During his residency at Bemis, Jordan will begin developing an immersive installation project called the Church of Black Liberation that produces active spatial prototypes for Black interfaith sanctuaries.
