Nicole Wilson

Queens, NY

Through mold-making, conceptual conceits, and long process-driven projects, Nicole Wilson makes objects that articulate and own absence and empty space. She makes artwork under the belief that the artist, bent over in the studio and hard at work in their own ideas, no longer exists. While at Bemis, Wilson is interested in connecting with historical societies and archives across Nebraska to research her family history, agricultural architecture, and migrant labor and the agriculture industry at the turn of the century.
