Isadora Vaughan

Melbourne, Australia

Isadora Vaughan’s practice unpacks and experiments with material as geological, temporal, associative, and emotional. Her works manifest out of research into varied states of matter and a direct desire to bring into form, sensorily and physically, certain attitudes. During her residency at Bemis, Vaughan plans to research and experiment using tissue cultures as a sculptural material with clay and other locally sourced natural materials. She also plans to travel to surrounding aquifers and pursue incorporating water into her sculptural works.
