Alisa Yang

Los Angeles, CA

Alisa Yang is an interdisciplinary artist and filmmaker with a research-based practice exploring language, cultural identity, and displacement of Asian diasporas. Centering the body as a site of geopolitical and social conditionings, her feminist driven works of video, installation, collage, and drawings are intimate negotiations in orienting oneself towards social change. At Bemis, she will create new work that re-imagines the gap between on and offline worlds as a generative space that can challenge, transform, and negotiate boundaries between the self and community.
