Curtis Tamm

May 18–August 12, 2016
Oakland, CA

Curtis Tamm revitalizes the spirit of western animism by befriending other species of animal, objects and things. He has been developing a sensory-ethnographic practice of bringing back artifacts from the wilderness, using cinema and environmental sound-work to destabilize the species hierarchy; creating new ladders of being for humans to scale and peer into the sensuous and intuitive realm of other animals and inanimate things.
