Bemis Center For Contemporary Arts

Concert Poster

Bemis Center commissioned artist Dan Crane to create a one-of-a-kind screen printed Deerhoof concert poster. Crane is an artist living in Omaha. He infuses postmodern discourse, the "do-it-yourself/do the right thing" indie/punk ethos of the mid-'80s, and self-deprecating comedy in his prints, paintings, and hand-made objects. Crane's work is funny and accessible because of his subject matter and approach to making, but he's not joking. Crane is the recipient of a MicroGrant from Amplify Arts, a The Union for Contemporary Art fellowship, a grant from Amplify Arts, and was an Omaha Artist Inc. participant. Crane received a BFA in Printmaking from the Kansas City Art Institute.

The limited-edition posters are available with a minimum $20 donation to Bemis Center beginning through October 25 (while supplies last).
