Bemis Center For Contemporary Arts

Over 350 people came out on Thursday, April 3, to catch the latest work by local and regional artists – plus a whole lot more in an unpredictable and totally enjoyable evening.  "Breathless" kicked off the jamming with turntable spinning and got the crowd going with driving hip hop and rap. Comedic MCs intro'd presenters, setting context and mood. Art reached all the way to the rafters with an installation of white plastic bags created by recent Artist-in-Resident, Claudia Borgna. Nine artists presented, and their work ran the gamut, including performance, visual, video, poetry and images inspired by science. And while the gong was gone, the art was as fab and fresh as always.
