Gigi O'Hara

Gigi O'Hara is a partner with Kutak Rock LLP and an experienced litigator who devotes her practice to labor and employment defense work. Her trial experience includes defending wage and hour class and collective actions and state law counterparts across the United States, as well as lawsuits brought under Title VII, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, the Americans with Disability Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Equal Pay Act, the Dodd-Frank Act, and various other legal theories in courts across the country. O’Hara has had the opportunity to serve as pro-bono legal counsel to a number of local nonprofit organizations over the years, including Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, Film Streams, and Voices for Children in Nebraska. She has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the nonprofit organization Partnership 4 Kids since 2011. She graduated with a BA in English from the University of Redlands in California and with a JD, cum laude, from Syracuse University College of Law in New York. O’Hara and her husband, Kelly, have two children, Sophie and Jack, who are in the sixth and fifth grades respectively at Washington Elementary. She currently serves as co-president of her children’s school’s Parent Teacher Organization and co-chair of the Nebraska State Bar Association Labor Relations & Employment Law Section.
