Jessica Bardsley

Cambridge, MA

Jessica Bardsley’s creative practice is informed by queer-feminist affect theory, psychoanalysis, and studies of the archive and its relationship to history. While at Bemis she plans to build a body of work, including collage, photography, and sculpture that explores ideas central to her recently completed film “The Making and Unmaking of the Earth”, which examines the close relationship between matter and emotion, using geology as a metaphor for embodied experience and trauma.
