Jessica Bardsley

Cambridge, MA

Jessica Bardsley’s creative practice is informed by queer-feminist affect theory, psychoanalysis, and studies of the archive and its relationship to history. While at Bemis she is building a body of work that explores ideas central to her new film “The Making and Unmaking of the Earth”, which examines the intimate relationship between matter and emotion, using geology as a metaphor for embodied experience and trauma.
