Big Muddy Urban Farm

Composed of young urban farmers passionate about cultivating food, skills, and community is the Big Muddy Urban Farm collective which formed as Omaha's first community supported agriculture (CSA) based urban farm. Their work has been recognized by the James Beard Foundation’s 2014 Good Food Guide and are Nebraska Sustainable Agriculture Society’s 2015 beginning farmers of the year. BMUF is a daily and seasonal performance that contrasts the producing ability of Omaha’s land against its industrious consumer landscape. For four years the tending of soil and distribution of healthy food has been nexus to the diverse talents of the BMUF farmers which include material fabrication, musical composition, and filmmaking.
