Peter Miller dwells in a staggering array of disciplines. Whether occupied with film, photography, performance, installation or, most often, a combination of the above, his work is often wry, always self-aware and never over-wrought. The native of Burlington, Vermont comes to us via Vienna, Austria, where he recently completed a Fulbright Fellowship. Upon completion of his Bemis Center residency, a DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) arts fellowship will have the globe-trotting Miller moving again, this time to Cologne, Germany.
His work has been shown widely in Europe, Asia, Canada and throughout the United States. Miller earned a BFA at Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts before going on to an MFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
