Jason Manley

Tucson, AZ
January 1 – March 29, 2005
Painting

Jason Manley works with acrylic on paper as well as other materials to create a series of mixed media works that combine painting with installation art. His richly textured approach intervenes with existing architecture to produce wholly new public sculptures. Accordingly, Manley rediscovers and reinterprets our public spaces. The artist received his BFA from the University of Kansas, Lawrence and an MFA in Painting from the University of Arizona, Tuscon. The artist has shown his work in both solo and group exhibitions, and he has received several grants, including a Medici Fellowship in 2003.
