This installation artist uses her work to explore issues of immigration,identity and invisible human stories that inform our sense of place. Her work at Bemis explores yearning and desire, and mourning and loss, as two endpoints on a continuum between which all of human life plays out. She works in a variety of media, including wood, glass, printmaking, photography and video projection. Isajiw earned her BFA from the University of Toronto, Canada and an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts, Valencia. She is currently Associate Professor at the University of Windsor, Canada.
