Join us as current artists-in-residence Raychael Stine and Kyoung Eun Kang present their work during the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts’ First Thursday Art Talk on October 4, 2012 at 7:00 pm. As always, Art Talk is free and open to the public.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Raychael Stine, the 2012 Gendler Fellow, is best known for her paintings featuring dogs in dangerous, humorous and intimate situations. These images reside between peculiar states of abstraction and representation.

Kyoung Eun Kang finds her language in simple places, focusing on the small, simple everyday gestures that can have a very large meaning. She captures the subtlety of human nature and behavior by observing situations that question how humans form bonds and attachments, the small gestures that bridge the gap between continents to create a connection between couples, families, communities and even strangers.
