Afternoon of Action/Reflection

Description: Join us for an afternoon of action/reflection beginning with a public lecture by E. Cram, Assistant Professor of Communications Studies at the University of Iowa. In Lessons from a Queer West: Rethinking Place and Violence in Flyover Country, Cram discusses the role of trauma within LGBTQI+/disregarded people in the placemaking of rural America. A meditation session with local yoga instructor, Carrie Lacy will follow the lecture and guests will be invited to manifest their reflections into action.

Free and open to the public. Free parking available.
