YOUR SUPPORT DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Dear Bemis Supporter,
I am extremely thrilled about all the incredible things that have happened, and are happening at the Bemis Center.
Simply stated, it has been an amazing year for the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts. As Omaha's international artist-in-residence program, we continue to think globally, while acting locally.
In 2008, the Bemis Center achieved a milestone by attracting almost 650 applications from artists all over the world for a coveted 24 residency spots annually. The artists that are selected to come to the Bemis Center are some of the brightest and significant visual artists working in contemporary art today. Along-side the residency program, the Bemis Center continues to push the leading edge of contemporary art with provocative exhibitions and imaginative programming, that takes steps beyond the predictable and mundane to stretch the imagination and creativity of our community.
Our commitment to the community is best reflected through our community arts program. Over the past year, we have demonstrated our commitment to public art with two major projects, the 22,000 sq. ft. Omaha Mural Project with master muralist Meg Saligman and the 18,000 sq ft. Antelope Valley Art Wall project in Lincoln Nebraska. Both projects have offered the Bemis Center the opportunity to view public art through the lens of civic engagement and to transform communities while making a difference in people's lives.
In uncertain financial times, there is no better way to have an impact on Omaha and the Bemis Center then by showing your support and commitment to sustaining our extraordinary programs, projects and artists.
Please consider supporting the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts with a meaningful End of the Year donation, membership or membership upgrade that will allow us to continue fulfilling our mission of supporting exceptional talent. We have come so far with your help. Have a happy and healthy New Year.
Your support means so much.
