CARTUNE XPREZ BROUGHT VIVID PERFORMANCES AND VIDEOS TO THE BEMIS CENTER

Gallery 3 Thursday night was transformed by the rainbow aesthetic of Realer from Cartune Xprez. The animated video and multimedia performance, a creation of Hooliganship's Peter Burr and Christopher Dougleris, had the live action, costumed, guitar/recorder/keyboard strumming artists acting as characters in their own visually projected animated shorts. Further blurring the lines of real — the cherry on top — 3D glasses!

The dynamic duo also presented a series of animated shorts from other artists. Work from Shana Moulton, Takeshi Murata, Barry Doupe, Bruce Bickford and a stop animation piece from ephemeral artist Blu were featured.

Hooliganship is making its way across country with Xprez. If you missed the fun, Realer is rumored to be planning a return in spring.
