When most of us pick up a glass and discover we’ve left behind a watermark on a wooden table, we try and rub it out (or at least cover it with an artfully placed book.) Or if we get stuck with leftover objects we no longer want or use, we tend to toss them into the garbage or stop by the nearest donation bin. But not so with Rachel Ziegler and Nic Bartlett: they take those images and items left behind and transform them into high art through their own unique processes of artistic elimination. On Friday, March 23 from 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. the public is invited to the grand opening of their two-person exhibition, Remainder in the bemisUNDERGROUND, where they can experience the results of their reductive creativity…
