FOUR FANTASTIC SHOWS - ONE OPENING NIGHT
Posted on 01/24/2007
Join us Friday, March 2, @ 7:00 p.m. for the opening of four new shows!
Karen Kunc: Sensory Source
This solo exhibition features the work of Karen Kunc, a Nebraska-born printmaker who creates work representative of fragmentary moments, chance encounters, the immeasurability of time and other invisible physical forces.
Endi Poskovic: They Are All Indispensable
What is vital? What is essential? According to printmaker Endi Poskovic, everything is, especially when it comes to creating the finely calibrated images that appear throughout this exhibition.
George Woodman: Paintings 1960 - 2000
For four decades, George Woodman has been expanding upon existing artistic parameters through a painting practice that defies easy categorization. This overview showcases both Woodman’s changing approaches and his formal continuities.
Building A Legacy: Paintings 1985 – 2007
This show focuses on several large-scale paintings from the Bemis Center's vaults. Works include those by recent resident Bob Koons and by three-time resident Hyun Soo Choi. The show is meant to provide a glimpse of the breadth and quality of painters who have come through the Bemis Center over the past 25 years.
