Andrew Hershey
Media Director
As Media Director, Andrew Hershey manages and coordinates all aspects of the Bemis Center's marketing and public relations. He promotes each of the organization's programs and events, including exhibitions, community events, educational programming, the annual art auction, public art projects, the Creativity Festival, the bemisUNDERGROUND and the Artist-in-Residence program. Hershey also oversees the production of all copy materials, including press releases, exhibition invitations, newsletters and web site content. He additionally generates the graphic design work for the Bemis Center's programs and special events and producing BC Podcasts, which feature exclusive interviews with Artists-in-Residence.
Andrew earned his MFA from the University at Buffalo, the State University of New York and a BFA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He has exhibited his work nationally in both group and solo shows, and his work is included in the permanent collections of organizations such as the Amity Art Foundation, the Southern Graphics Conference Collection and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Print Archives. Prior to joining the Bemis Center, Andrew instructed drawing and printmaking on the university level and also worked as a graphic designer.
